Behind the screen
Behind the Screen: My journey from "mad man" to Fantasy Artisan.
For three decades, I roamed the vast, untamed lands of advertising—conquering the glittering cities of New York, Los Angeles, and all the kingdoms in between. I was a storyteller, wielding my camera like a mighty staff, crafting tales that flashed across the magical box known as the television. From cameraman to director, from writer to producer, I was the architect of messages—each one designed to sell, persuade, and captivate.
I used my trained eye, an old skill learned in the realm of photography, to shape stories that could move mountains. But my tools were limited by the chains of commerce. Everything I created had a purpose, a product, a price. I poured my heart into making these stories not just enticing, but a bit enchanting, always aiming to stir a flicker of emotion in those who watched.
Over the years, I found myself working closely with many talented illustrators and graphic designers, describing my visions, trying to shape them into reality. But as the years passed, I felt a calling—an urge to wield the sword of creativity firsthand. I embraced the craft, learned the arcane secrets, and mastered the tools that would help me bring my visions to life.
And yet, something was missing. Reality, with all its mundanity, felt like an illusion. It was then I turned my gaze to the world of fantasy. A world filled with dragons, brave heroes, and quests untold. This was where my spirit soared, where my imagination could run wild and free. It was an escape, yes, but more than that—it was a way to see the world as an epic adventure, a grand tale waiting to be told.
And so, the Fantasy Art Shop was born. A haven for those who seek to see beyond the ordinary, to experience a bit of magic, and to feel that spark of wonder that so often gets lost in the shuffle of everyday life. Welcome, traveler, to my world.
Let’s embark on this journey together.
